The price is less, but is it worth it? I don't know if it does the job or not, but I guess I should be happy with it, but I'm not sure if it's doing its job or not for a few months.
If you want to trap pollutants that go through your system bigger than a few microns, the filters (216) are a good choice.
I didn't have an issue with my replacement filter, I just had to research it and order them, because I had been paying my heating and cooling service folk a lot to install the same exact filter a couple times.
I have used these for 10 years and have not had any issues. I see some fancy ones out there now, but I will stick to these, they have proven to me how good they are.
The item got really filthy in its first 5 months of use, but it's great value and performs well even in South Texas, where there are lots of allergens floating through the air.
