I was excited to try it out and I got my first frozen battered Shrimp and bacon for breakfast.
I like to cook salmon with Teflon and I use tinfoil when I do so but I don't like it when it comes off like some people do.
The fryer is great, but don't spend the extra money on the accessories, you can use a regular 8 inch cake pan or silicone baking vessels in this fryer.

I wouldn't call it ceramic because the pans and basket are coated in non stick.

I have cooked a bone-in turkey breast in the basket with great results, and it was covered with aluminum foil to keep it from cooking over. If you want to keep the top from cooking over, cover it with aluminum foil half way through the timed cycle.
