  • What buyers say about Pohl Schmitt Stainless Steel Bread Machine Bread Maker

I changed the way I put the ingredients in the machine, and also changed the recipe, as I didn't like the results I got from the instructions.

I have never made bread before, but I did make it, and it was a success. I used a random website recipe, and didn't have enough of the flour that it called for, so I added some almond flour, tapioca flour, and a little bit of arrowroot.

The machine is easy to use, the instructions are easy to follow, and the recipe book will get me started quickly.

The Pohl-Schmitt machine has a "do-it-yourself" setting that is better than any other machine that has a pre-programmed setting, because you can program it to mix, rest and rise only once or multiple times.

My experience with bread machines is 20 years old, and I think that this is the eighth or ninth machine I have bought, because I think it's an experience that my friends also enjoy, and I bet on the good name of the Swiss manufacturers for high quality.

    Common Questions

Does the machine have a program time chart for each step?

It will only feature a time feature for delaying baking, so you can program it to start and finish right at your dinner time.

Where can I get the PDF of the book?

There is an instruction manual for this machine available in the Amazon store, but it isn't available anywhere else.

Does the baking pan have two paddles? I had an old machine that had two and it worked well.

Try to get 2 paddles, 1) ZojirushiBB-PAC20 Home Bakery Virtuoso, 2) West Bend 41410 Hi-Rise Bread Maker or 3) Breadman BK2000B Bakery Pro Bread Maker.

    Does it shake when used?

It does not except for a brief moment when it opens the little trap door in the top and shakes out nuts, that's the only time it makes much noise.

What are the outer dimensions of this bread machine?

It's got rounded sides so hard to measure, but it's approximately 10 and 1/2 inches high, with a small compartment at the top that adds another inch or so.
