Common Questions
Is there a fly that fits this tent?
It's not necessary to fly if you season the tent by hosing it down when you set it up.
What size stove should I use?
I use a small/medium wood-burning stove that makes it very warm inside, even though it is a rather small stove.
How much wind can it handle?
I have read that it can handle winds of 5 mph or less. I have only experienced gusts of 40 mph and the 13 guy lines kept the tent stable.
Does the center pole connect to the floor sheet, or can you put a carpet underneath it?
I put the center pole in contact with the floor on my tent because it has a rubber on each end.
I was thinking of buying one for the deer and elk season in Oregon, but how would it hold up in snow?
It didn't snow when I used it in October, but it rained hard and a really bad wind, and I was impressed.
