Is the device intermittent in shutting down?
The device shutdown can be solved by adjusting the chain tightness, too loose will easily lead to chain derailing, there needs to be a 0.3 cm gap between the chain and the guide bar.
Where is the charging indicater light?
When you plug the cord into the battery, the light will come on red and then turn green, after it's fully charged.
Is it possible to use 20V batteries with this saw?
I don't know, but we have found the 2 batteries that come with it to be more than enough for our needs.

I haven't tried a mini chainsaw because my husband bought me the Potenco 4” mini chainsaw for our 35th anniversary and I love it.
I can't use the gloves because they are so small.
I don't use those gloves, but I believe they are included as an additional item for safety.
