  • Common Questions

    Q:

    Where is this manufactured?

    A:

Tyler F. is wrong about it being made in Austria, and Max is wrong about it being made in China. Just because something is made in China, does not mean it is from a Chinese company, or is a Chinese design.

    Q:

How many times a week do I need to replace filters?

    A:

The filters are made from a fine mesh that is pressed into shape. They last a long time, do not erode, but after a few years may need to be replaced.

    Q:

What amount of coffee does it make?

    A:

It yields just over 23 ounces of coffee, but I may cut back to 8 tablespoons to make sure the taste and color are good.

    Q:

Do you heat the water in the french press?

    A:

You don't need to heat the water in a kettle or pot, it's just how I tell you when the water is ready to pour into the French press.

    Q:

Is it possible to use it to carry it in a backpack?

    A:

Yes. If you have a waterproof backpack with a liner that you would want to drink coffee out of, that is full.
