I use this monitor for my desk, because it gives me the space I need for my peripherals, without having to move them.
I'm not a game player, but I do occasionally work from home on various projects, spreadsheets,.ppts, web coding, voice overs, and the like.
If you want a bigger monitor with better picture quality, you should buy a 24 inch monitor with a 1920p resolution. Lg screens are always nice, and if you want some extra color, you can set the digital vibrance dial higher on your Amd or Nvidia.
The setup was easy, it was build quality, and it looked great on a wall mount due to the white edges, -4k $300.
If you want to split it up into two parts, you can use OnScreen Control, a program that allows for an automatic screen setup the way you want it - split it up any number of ways, 50/50, 33/33/33, 60/40, etc.
