The mesh back rest is very comfortable and is located exactly where you would expect it.
With other chairs, I have had to use pillows or extra padding, but this chair is so comfortable, even after 7 months of use, I can't believe how soft it is.
The part of the chair that you sit on has a perfect amount of cushion that has stood up to multiple uses and still remains soft.
The chair has held up well despite being rated 3 stars, and the gas mechanism that holds the chair at the same height works as good as new.
It wasn't fun, but the AmazonBasics has a one-year warranty, which is pretty cool, since it's an "Amazon Product" and it's administered by Amazon.

I think I should get a chair with more maximum height as I can't keep my elbow on my desk.

I am 6'5" and weigh 230 and have had this chair for 1.5 years and it still works well. I'm always leaning it back, more then you probably should and have not broke it yet.
How high is the top of the seat's armrests?
I measured it while I was typing this and it was seven inches.
