  • What buyers say about Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home Theater System

I have a system that fills the room with great sound and the movie surround effects sound great. I have the speakers mounted close to the seating areas and in relation to each other.

If you want a 7.1 system with a lot of room for the sub, you should add a pair of front towers.

I have been holding off on writing my review as I wanted to get a feel for what I think, but Installation took me a full day and a few more days to perfect the sound settings and placement in the living room.

I have a Yamaha RX-V473B Factory 5.1-Channel Network AV Receiver and I like the sound and visuals.

The sound quality is great, there is a hole in the range of 120 to 160hz on the satellite end, and the more mid bass you ask from the sub, the more you realize it's its location.

    Common Questions

Can I set this up right out of the box or will I need something else?

To use surround you will need a decoder that sends sound separately to "front, middle, rear and subwoofer" speakers.

My receiver has one Subwoofer RCA type jack, but how do I hook up the Subwoofer?

If you are connecting your subwoofer to a pre-amp/processor with a LFE or Subwoofer pre-amp output, you will need to connect a single RCA cable to the LFE/Left input.

Does the Subwoofer require both the Subwoofer cable and speaker wire?

You can have both speaker wire and subwoofer cable, but it depends on your receiver.

Is there a reciver you need?

You need a receiver or amplifier that will accept standard speaker wire connections.

Is there a clear dialogue from the center channel for movies and tv?

I have a center channel volume set that is high enough to hear dialogue, which is fine with this speaker.
