  • What buyers say about Yamaha Audio YHT-4930UBL 5.1-Channel Home Theater in a Box System with Bluetooth

I have been using this receiver for a few months now and I have to say it is a very good value for money, especially with the 4k smart tv and xbox one that I have.

The receiver does a good job of playing music, though I no longer listen to radio. It also lets you name the audio sources and turn different audio inputs on/off so that you don't have to cycle through inputs that aren't hooked up.

The 4k pass through its perfect, and it also comes with a mic that plugs in, so you just place where you sit to dial most of it in for those who haven't done much with home theater and speaker sets.

I think there is a slight issue with the audio and I may change the way I run it so that it goes through the reciever first.

The front display shows you the sound you're getting from your speakers, and you can change the sound mode with the push of a button.

    Common Questions

Does the system include everything or only the receiver?

The receiver, center channel speakers, front left/right channel speakers, surround left and right channel speakers, powered subwoofer, remote control, microphone to set up the sound field and the required speaker wire are included in the box.

How does the amplifier get the power?

It has a regular 110v AC power cord, but I bought a separate power strip that senses when the amplifier is turned on, and supplies power to the sub-woofer in turn.

Can the system connect to headphones so the sound only comes from headphones and not speakers?

There is a headphone jack in the front.

Can you turn on the rear speakers to listen to music?

Yes. The receiver has a variety of modes for different listening environments, including 5-channel stereo, which is great for music.

    Are the rear speakers wireless?

The speakers that will be behind you are not wireless, because the wire is white instead of the usual clear color.
