Should I purchase a printer stand in order to print from a roll?
We did not purchase a stand, but we did purchase a piece of furniture that allowed us to place the printer on a counter. The footprint of the printer is very large, so be aware of the space needed to station it.
Is this printer capable of printing high quality photographic images or just blueprints?
The TA-20 is not a photo/fine art printer.
Is this print of fabric or clothing going to be dose?
It is not supported to print on clothing with the imageGRAF TA-20.
How is this different from the ipf series of printers?
The TA-20 is a technical printer for output such as charts, maps and posters, while the ipf series are intended for reproducing photographs and artwork.
The printer will print on roll film, but not on silkscreen positives, as Canon claims.
Roll film has a coating to hold ink.
