The setup was trouble-free, and for the price, it prints both plain text and adequate photos on photo paper.
If you're looking for a cheap printer, then this is the one for you - it's an excellent value for low volume printing, and you can print at least 50 pages from your home. The printer is an excellent value, for low volume printing, and out of the box
If paper jams, pull the paper out and canon can help you with any issues you may have.
I thought that an XL would last longer, but it seems that it's the same as a regular cartridge on this printer, and the two stars is because the printer itself works without any issues aside from gobbling up ink so quickly.
The Canon Pixma is a great solution, it works well, is low cost, and you are not being ripped off, as almost every review states that those printers simply stop working without auto- ink replenishment.

of Sept 2020, we have just verified there is ink inside the 2 ink cartridges that are provided with the printer.

I've gone through two black cartridges without refilling the color one, but the printer and its program indicate that the color cartridge is out of ink.

I had to download the software again, and the Disk wouldn't complete installation when it was almost done.
