  • What buyers say about Epson Artisan 1430 Wireless Color Wide-Format Inkjet Printer

If you want to print larger than 13 x 19 the Artisan 1430 is a good choice, but you might want to use a standard-sized photo printer.

The HP is the winner here in terms of ease-of-use because it uses the fewest ink tanks and uses the least complicated method to install them: you simply click them in and click them.

I used to use my company's printer, but decided to get my own printer, which is more geared towards art prints, and am blown away by the results compared.

The software and cable were both annoying and not giving a required cable. 3 of the 5 prints I made using the printer were ruined because the printer pulled the paper in odd angles and crumpled it up.

I had to research a lot before I decided to try it out, but I was impressed with what I read and thought it would be good for printing out scrapbook pages.

    Common Questions

I need to make sure the printer is capable of printing very heavy cardstock. I think the card stock is 110 lbs.

I bought it for my crafting business and when I print in cardstock or label sheets the ink runs, none of the paper settings or any setting works.

Should I still buy this if I'm not printing photographs?

I use it to print design pieces and it works great, but I recommend buying the cable for more reliable printing.

How is this printer different from the Stylus 1400?

I use the 1430 wide carriage for 17x19 posters and standard color sizes, but do not use Epson.

What is the maintenance done on the printer?

I replaced a few cartridges but none so far.

How is this printer used for regular text printing?

It's really outstanding if you don't use the wireless feature, and maybe that has improved since I purchased it, but that was a problem when I got it in late 2012
