I use Windows 7 64 bit from two computers and a computer with a different operating system, and downloaded and set it up in Windows 7 first, skipping the included CDs.
I only use the scanning portion of the printer for about 15 text documents a year, so it won't be used as much for printing, and my daughter will be able to use it to print from her laptop for school projects.
I have been an HP customer since 1985, but there were some difficulties with the company, as well as its policy of not allowing you to print black and white if one of the COLOR cartridges is low or empty.
I tried to use a flash drive that wasn't bad on the PC, but it was taking a long time to connect because it wouldn't just Scan the whole image into a buffer, but also try to flush smaller portions of the image to the storage device.
I haven't had any issues with it so far, even after scanning 96 pages to a single file using the method, it only fits 25 pages at a time.
