What buyers say about Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light Laptop, 14" Full HD IPS, AMD Ryzen 7 4700U Octa-Core with Radeon Graphics, 8GB LPDDR4, 512GB NVMe SSD
The ryzen 7 is an amazingly fast laptop that I purchased primarily for school work.
I tried several things to fix the problem but so far I haven't been able to improve it.
The 8 core Ryzen 7 processor is faster on perf tests than my Dell XPS 15 i7 notebook, and the keyboard and mouse pad are very sharp and bright.
I am happy with it, but I would recommend it even if you do get a lemon. Amazon customer service is great, and I was able to replace the lemon within two days.
This is not a fair review because the LG gram is smaller than the Acer and I am surprised with it, but I love my LG gram and wanted to check out its competition, so I did.
Is it possible to add more ram to this?
You can't put a SODIMM RAM module in a 16GB version because there aren't any slots.
Is it possible to completely uninstall Alexa from the device?
Yes. Just search "how to uninstall Alexa from a Acer laptop" and you'll get a link to the instructions.
Is it possible to expand the memory on this laptop to 16 GB?
It's ridiculous that a good laptop can only have 8 gig of memory, even though it has a fast processor.
Does it work with an external monitor?
I had an InnoView portable monitor, so I try to use it to connect with this laptop, then they can work perfectly.
Will this be able to handle music recording and production?
8 gb of RAM is all you need for most music production workflows.
