    It's really simple to get this printer to work on your network, if you just highlight it and press the "delete" button on your keyboard.


    The instructions call out AOSS and BC in a way that made me think I needed one of those options on my wireless router, but it's not necessary and they aren't common.


    The HL-2070N is even better than my previous model, because of its low per page cost, duplex and booklet functions, and browser interface.


    A search for "Linux Drivers for Brother HL-2270DW" led me to a web page that seemed to have everything the company made, but it was actually a Linux driver for the model that I was looking for.


    It's back in black and it's easy to configuration. It's problem free and it's much cheaper to operate when I compared supply costs before I chose this model.

    Does the printer come with a refill?

    A:

    Yes. It comes with a toner cartridge, it is the smaller one, so only good for 350 pages, and the replacement toner cartridges are 750 pages, I think.

    Does it print bright colors?

    A:

    If you are looking for a color printer, maybe you should purchase an inkjet color printer, which prints in B&W text and color.

    Is the mac compatible?

    A:

    They work well with MacBook Pros and iMacs with Apple's new OS X 10.8, and have been recommended to other users. Have not tried the wireless or ethernet, but with USB they work well, Mac or Windows, the cross platform compatibility was a major reason we tried them.
