The printer has proven itself in many ways, including daily use in printing and copying, wireless printing from Macs, and iPad, printing double-sided copies from the Mac or iPad, copying multi-page documents, and I have just raised the rating to a star after many months of ownership.
I purchased a Brother printer when Betsy gave out, it was the same size and layout as my previous printer, but with all the new features.
I can still use the phone while printing, but my print speed is slower than other Brother's, so I choose the quiet mode which is slightly slower.
There is a 2.7 inch touch display screen, menu buttons to the right of that, a nicely sized keypad right of that, and a power button and signal light at the right end of the control panel.
The device was purchased to allow us to keep less stuff while still preserving important things, and it was also used to display children's artwork.

The MFCL2740DW is capable of scanning 2-sided documents in one pass and there are two sensor for each side of the page.

Can it print color?
If you've used a color inkjet MFC to Scan photos and are used to that quality then you will likely be unhappy.

It comes with one printer's compatible ink/toner/cartridge. The only thing you'll want to do is pick up another one soon because the one that comes with new printers is usually half full.
