  • What buyers say about Westinghouse iGen4500

I have 30 minutes on each of the units with 15 minutes under load but plan to run them again this weekend for longer with a little heavier load, and if you are patient, they will eventually contact you and they seem genuinely concerned with helping to get your problems resolved.

The retail price of the Westinghouse is about $910 but it is clear that they have done an excellent job of going after that mid-range to higher kW market.

The other two generators run well so I think two out of three is not bad. However, the problems with this generator and the lack of response from Westinghouse makes it a one star.

The iGen4500 uses less fuel than the larger 9500w generator and charges the batteries on our solar system on cloudy days.

I think it would be a lot simpler if someone just said, "This guy's generator only has five hours on it, let's get it fixed for him." I don't work in customer service but I think it would be a lot simpler if someone just said, "
