What buyers say about Weber 51060001 Q1200 Liquid Propane Grill Titanium
The burner flame is more stable in a wind that is strong than it would be if it were attached to a grill, because the diffuser is quickly installed or removed, and does not interfere with the burner flame or change its color.
This is a small grill that I needed for my apartment in Chicago and it does it all. It is easy to clean and easy to cook on.
It was easy to assemble, and after it has cooled and cleaned, it can be put away in a plastic tub in the bed of my tow vehicle, with a 1 pound propane bottle, cover and other small accessories.
The patties were a bit dry, and there wasn't much smoke produced, as well as the fact that most of the juices dribbled into the collection pan below.
I purchased the Q1200 because I wanted a small, portable gas grill that would heat up and maintain its temp in a predictable, effective way for our 3-person family.
Common Questions
Does the hose need to be purchased for general use?
We are in an RV so I use the small tanks for one or two nights stops and when camping for a week I use the 20# propane bottle with the gas.
How long do the small canisters last?
I used up each of the last 3 canisters within 5 grilling sessions, about 5 hours total per canister and cooking between 350 to 450 F degrees.
Is it possible to use this on the tailgate of my truck or does it burn too hot and will melt the plastic cover?
The grill is designed for table top use and should be fine for your tail gate. If you are worried about the grill being a fire hazard, put some large tiles or other fire resistant material under it.
Is the Q1200 model compatible with the Weber 6557 Q portable cart?
The Weber Q 1000 and 2000 series grills are compatible with the 6557 Q Portable Cart.
How is the LP secured when stored as in a camper if the small cannisters are removed?
I leave the bottle connected in the winter if it's possible to store it for an extended period of time.
