    I like the idea of washing and applying a light coating of oil to the inner crock, but I can't tell if it's made out of ceramic or metal.


    The pot has a nice look and is great for cooking, it has a timer and stove top browning, which is different than my other pots, and it matches everything in my kitchen.


    The stove top cooking option with the insert is the reason we bought this one. It seems like a good idea and it is, really, at least that part of the overall product value proposition.


    The size is great, the quality is excellent, and the performance is perfect, as I have mentioned before, this is the third crock-pot my wife and I have owned in the past 10 years, and it took less than a month for it to completely replace its predecessor.


    I bought a slow cooker at William Sonoma and it worked until the warranty expired, but I was happy to find a Crock Pot at a much lower price that I could still make my one pot meals.
