The interface is familiar and you won't need to read the manual if you've owned previous models.
The 80D is a shiny new camera with many new features and image quality improvements over its predecessor, but it is still very similar in appearance and feel to the 70D.
The 80D is a great camera for experienced DSLRs who want to try out a new product for the first time and get a feel for how it works.
The microphone picks up a lot of noise but it is not terrible and it can be controlled with the Cannon app.
I was surprised by how much more human aware auto select mode is compared to the 70D.
