What buyers say about Hamilton Beach 49980Z
Some people like to brew their own coffee, and the cup side Brewer has an optional small Pod holder for that.
The 12-cup filter basket is superior to the coffee maker I replaced and it is a big plus to me because my previous machine seemed to have a mind of its own when I brew more than 6 cups.
I wanted to give him a Father's Day gift that would make him happy, and that was the Hamilton Beach Two Way Brewer.
The carafe is the best design I have ever seen. I have had coffeemakers with glass-lipped carafes that dribble on the counter while pouring a cup, but this one has a single-piece molded plastic rim/pouring spout, which makes it easy to clean.
I have not figured out how much coffee to use on that side, so I am not sure if I like it or not.
Common Questions
Where can I purchase replacement carafe?
It seems Hamilton doesn't care about existing customers, just about selling another expensive coffee maker.
Is it possible for the glass carafe to be washed in the dishwasher?
I would wash both by hand, I'm sure it would be fine.
Is it possible to pour without dribbling?
Yes, from the carafe.
How is this different from hamilton beach 49980a single serve coffee maker and full pot coffee maker, which are both identical but twice the cost?
I bought this unit as a gift and didn't spend a lot of money on it.
Is it possible to make less than 12 cups on the carafe side?
Measure the amount of water you want, pour it into the resevoir, and add coffee and brew.
