The flavor of coffee that is brew in this pot is superb, anyone who likes a good cup of coffee needs to return to our roots and purchase a percolator.
The coffee made with this percolator is very good. There are a few things I always do to make great coffee, "1 I wet the basket, then add a filter which has 5 holes and is threaded through the top of the baskets rod;", and "2 I use
The coffee flavor is very little in the way of sediment noted, even without the use of filters, so I find that I use the same amount of coffee as I did with the Drip Type Makers.
I read a review that said he stopped buying the drip makers and instead went with the presto, but I checked on the presto and decided to follow suit, and think it makes a great cup of coffee.
It does brew a nice cup, and it has the added bonus of keeping the coffee piping hot.

My favorite filters for this percolator are the "Disc coffee filters" which are a small paper circle with a hole in the middle, and I put a second one on top to keep them from floating out.

I called Presto and they didn't know, it's all stainless steel except for the small cup at the bottom that the perk tube fits into.

The brew is very hot 195 degrees F right after the "on" light comes on.
