It's not easy to install and cause degreeation in your seal, if used without a rack, that could let in noise, air, and rain. Ave will probably use it some in the future.
We need a ladder to get up on top of the vehicle, but I am short so we just rolled the bag off the vehicle and stored it in the garage for our next trip.
It rained a little on our way to NY but we were still dry. Once we got there, one of the clips broke and my husband had to tie it up on the roof.
I am really happy that they replaced the broken clips for free, because I really like this bag.
