What buyers say about American Lawn Mower Company 1304-14 14-Inch 5-Blade Push Reel Lawn Mower
The points of the mower that need to be adjusted after the initial run seem to have been designed with a little more strength after learning the handle issue and the rollers need a bit of additional adjustment.
I tossed all the sticks in about 2 minutes, after reading reviews and seeing the yard looked good.
The components were packed so that they wouldn't damage the carton or break the stuff inside. Assembly is simple and takes less than five minutes.
It's easy to mow and quick, but I wouldn't recommend it on a large area because I'm a 60 year old female.
I just moved into a house with a small yard and this mower works great, but when I took this out of the box, I noticed that it was a different color than the one pictured.
Common Questions
How often should the blades be sharpened?
Yes. However, these blades remain sharp as long as the device is used correctly. My neighbor and I both use this mower since springtime and have never had a need to sharpen the blade.
I want to buy this for my son, but what should I do if he doesn't like it?
They will charge you $29.98 to return it, even though it says in the description that it's free.
I can't loosen the screws on the blade guard because it doesn't fit in the manual.
It is not recommended to adjust unless the mower is not cutting, so please call us if you have any more questions.
Is there an assembly requirement?
It only requires installation of 3 bolts with wingnuts and you put the handle pads on the mower, there are two small e-rings that hold the handles onto the mower.
Does 5 blades work better than 3?
I think 5 blades will cover more ground, I have never used 3 blades.
