  • What buyers say about Great States 415-16 16-Inch 5-Blade Push Reel Lawn Mower

I like stuff with easy maintenance, and I know about the technical motor, but I don't like junk, so this is great.

Quiet, you can mow at 4am or 11pm, and my boyfriend handles all the mowing, but I can pick it up.

I lost 15 lbs using this and walking the dog since buying my first home, and so does a regular lawn, even though it may take a few extra passes.

After mowing, I recommend using an old paint brush to clean around the blades and awl 40 to wipe them off to keep them sharp, as there is a chance of rust forming if you don't.

I had to mow the whole yard more than once, but it got the job done and I got a great upper body workout, as I had to chop some of the clumpy bits back and forth with the mower.

    Common Questions

Will it push it forward or pull it backwards, or does it only cut when moving in the forward direction?

I hope you appreciate this and you owe me a beer, but the blades do not.

I'm not sure if this mower will work well with a sloped yard and bumpy ground.

I love the mower, but my yard is very smooth and I wouldn't use it on a bumpy yard.

I fell under the porch and there's no way I'm going to get it, so how important are the e-rings?

If the handle isn't staying on, you should buy a couple of them from the hardware store.

Are the gears that turn the blades made of plastic? Also, how low can you set it for cutting, I have bermuda which needs to be cut very low -- 1/4 - 1/2).

I'm not sure about the gears.

How do I keep the blades sharp and how often do I do it?

I don't know if I'll have to sharpen the blades again, but I do use a silicone lubricant to keep the blades sharp.
